Dare to Dream with SBANYS
We’re celebrating our Pearl Anniversary — 30 years! SBANYS is hosting our 11th annual Dare to Dream Gala at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy on Saturday, November 18th from 5:00-9:00pm. We will be celebrating our anniversary with in-person and virtual participation options. The event includes a live and silent auction, entertainment, and — new this year -– a cocktail hour and 3–course meal for our guests. This year, SBANYS welcomes Honorary Chair Stella Porter of WNYT Channel 13 and will be recognizing Judy Heumann posthumously for the You Make a Difference Award.
The funds raised from this occasion are the foundation that allows SBANYS to provide programs and services. This is SBANYS’ major annual fundraiser, bringing together individuals impacted by Spina Bifida, donors, community partners, providers, and friends to celebrate the accomplishments of the community. The title “Dare to Dream” has two purposes: through our services, we encourage our consumers to never limit themselves because of negative beliefs, inaccessibility, or stigma. Additionally, this fundraiser provides us with the financial support to develop programs that have a huge positive impact on those we serve. The event promises to be a fun-filled evening, raising Spina Bifida awareness and funds to enhance SBANYS programs and services.

- 9:00am – Online auction opens for bidding
November 18
- 5:00pm – Gala door opens; cocktails (cash bar) and appetizers
- 6:00pm – Dinner
- 6:30pm – Virtual Gala begins (participants can sign in)
- 6:30pm – Presentations (streamed)
- 7:00pm – Online auction closes for bidding
- 7:15pm – Live auction (streamed)
- 7:30pm – Musical performance (streamed)
- 8:00pm – Virtual Gala ends
- 8:15pm – Dessert, in-person checkout, and winnings distribution opens
- 9:00pm – Goodbye and “sweet dreams!”
