10th Annual Dare to Dream
with SBANYS
a hybrid live / virtual event!
The Dare to Dream Gala raises critical funds for our programs and services benefitting the Spina Bifida community of New York State. This is SBANYS’ major annual fundraiser, bringing together individuals impacted by Spina Bifida, donors, community partners, providers, and friends to celebrate the accomplishments of the community. The title “Dare to Dream” has two purposes: through our services, we encourage our consumers to never limit themselves because of negative beliefs, inaccessibility, or stigma. Additionally, this fundraiser provides us with the financial support to develop programs that have a huge positive impact on those we serve. The event promises to be a fun-filled evening, raising Spina Bifida awareness and funds to enhance SBANYS programs and services.

The live event is a fun-filled evening featuring a cash bar, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, unique live and silent online auction items (click here for details), musical entertainment, and our gala awards ceremony.
Virtual participants can join in with the live and silent online auctions (click here for details), view the awards ceremony, and enjoy an optional virtual wine tasting with a provided flight of four wines.

- 9:00am – Online auction opens for bidding
Nov 19
- 6:00pm – Gala door opens; music by Jennie Angel & cash bar all evening
- 6:15pm – Honorary Chair and Executive Director welcome and introductions (live event only)
- 6:15pm – Wine tasting (virtual only)
- 6:30pm – Appetizers and passed hors d’oeuvres
- 7:30pm – Evening Ceremony and live auction (live and streamed)
- 8:00pm – Desserts and dancing
- 9:00pm – Online auction closes for bidding
- 9:15pm – In-person checkout and winnings distribution opens
