Educating Our Community

Lukasiewicz Friendly Shoe 6.

Education is Essential

Education is a pillar of the Association's services - for individuals and families impacted by Spina Bifida, the professionals working with our consumers, and the general public. Information related to Spina Bifida is distributed via social media, email news, and quarterly newsletters. The Association also participates in community trainings, tabling events, working with media, and New York State representatives to provide education on life with Spina Bifida.

Community Training

The Assocation offers Spina Bifida trainings in-person (when reasonable) and virtually statewide. Presentations are tailored to the target audience. Requests can come from schools, clinicians, systems specialists, and disability service providers. Complete the form here to request training.

E-News

Each month the Association provides an email with relevant resources regarding advocacy, health, research, social security, and other disability-related programs. You can sign up to receive e-news here.

Newsletter

The Association distributes a quarterly newsletter via USPS and email with organizational updates, program invitations, and educational resources. Sign up to receive our Newsletters and find the most recent versions here:

School-Based Resources
