Case Management

Those impacted by Spina Bifida can request assistance for addressing challenges and achieving goals on a short or long-term basis.

Contact the office to request:

– Information and education
– Individual, peer, and group support
– Assistance with referrals and navigating systems, including insurance, transportation, employment, special education, housing, benefits, and disability services.

Clinical Care

We support our community in identifying knowledgeable healthcare providers, multidisciplinary clinics, and up-to-date research and best practices.

We are grateful to be part of the team of providers who meet with patients at the Albany Med Health System Spina Bifida Clinic.

Financial assistance for higher education, training or conference attendance is available for those with Spina Bifida through two of our sponsored scholarships: Frank Bucino Jr. Memorial Scholarship | Helen R. Mertens Scholarship

Teens and adults living with Spina Bifida, gain vocational skills and training through a 1-year paid part-time Internship. Contact the office to apply.
