The Spina Bifida Association of New York State is hosting its third annual conference, Empowering Minds and Enriching Futures: Innovations in Care, Technology, and Daily Living in Syracuse, NY!

Friday:

Join SBANYS from 6-8pm at Apex Entertainment at Destiny USA Mall for a night of family fun! Drop in to network with other families and enjoy some arcade games, bowling, axe throwing, and more!

Empowering Minds and Enriching Futures: Innovations in Care, Technology, and Daily Living – 9:30am – 4:00pm

Sunday:

Disability Festival – 9:30am – 12:30pm

Celebrate the ADA’s 36th Anniversary with SBANYS on Sunday morning July 26 at Cedar Bay Park! The Disability Festival will be held at Cedar Bay Park in Fayetteville, NY, and is presented by the Spina Bifida Association of New York State, in partnership with CNY Adaptive and Upstate Medical University Hospital. The event will bring together individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and community organizations from across New York State for a day of connection, recreation, and community engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore vendor resources, meet others in the disability community, and walk, roll, or bike along the Erie Canalway. This event is free to attend, but registration is required!

The registration fee is $15 per person. I understand that anyone in my registration party who is 13 years or younger may attend for free, and I am responsible for payment before the start of conference. Conference fee may be waived upon request: please email julia.duff@sbanys.org to inquire. *

SBANYS has a hotel block for $162/night at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Syracuse. If you are traveling more than 60 miles, you’ll be reimbursed for travel and lodging. Will you be staying the night and need a room from our block? *

Photo Release Agreement

I do hereby grant full permission to the Spina Bifida Association of New York State, its agents, and others working under its authority, full and free use of video/photographs containing my or my child(ren)’s image/likeness. I understand these images may be used for promotional, news, research and/or educational purposes and may depict and/or identify him/her as a child with Spina Bifida.

I grant permission for the use of photographs and/or video of myself and/or my child(ren) as described above.

Waiver Agreement

In consideration of me and/or my minor child being permitted to participate in the Spina Bifida Association of New York State's Annual Conference and associated events throughout the weekend, I hereby for myself, my heirs, and personal representatives assume any and all risks that might be associated with the event. I further waive, release, discharge and covenant not to sue Spina Bifida Association of New York State, its programs, officers, employees, sponsors, organizers, volunteers, or other representatives or their successors and assigns, for any and all injuries or damages of any kind whatsoever suffered by myself and/or my minor child as a result of taking part in the event and any related activities.
